1. 'Just wanted to drop a line to say we had a fantastic time. The weather and the scenery was fantastic. The villa is superb for a larger group and so well equiped! All our friends thoroughly enjoyed their stay and needless to say we dined al fresco most days on the terrace!'

2. 'We had such a wonderful holiday in Penna San Giovanni and have now all sunk into a bit of a depression that we are back. The house was great - perfect for the kids and very relaxing for us. It worked very well in all respects. We cant think of anything we needed.
We enjoyed meeting all the locals especially Luciana and Mauro who were especially kind and Paulo's pizza was a big hit with us all. Thanks for sorting out the extra cots and highchairs. We would love to come back again and would definitely recommend it to friends. Many thanks.'

1. 'Home safe and well and very much relaxed after a perfect week.

I doubt it will come as any shock to you to learn that we found the villa to be of a very high quality, I will try and summarise our thoughts in a review format.

The Villa itself is very spacious and of the highest standard of cleanliness. It is very well equipped with all the “fixtures and fittings” you could possibly need, and all in pristine condition.

There is more than enough crockery and cutlery to mean you don’t have to use the dishwasher after every meal, and things like the plastic glasses are an excellent thought either for general use by the pool or simply for use by the younger ones amongst a group.

The pool and pool area are very clean and well laid out and having the steps built in to the design of the pool is a very pleasant change to the normal metal ladders.

The surrounding area is simply beautiful and views spectacular. Penne itself is very friendly and we found the restaurants we tried to be excellent and accurately reflected in the information pack, but equally it is not difficult to cook a meal for 10 or more at the villa.

Overall we found the villa to be a tranquil and utterly enjoyable holiday location either for a large family or multiple family group.

Thanks for a great property, we are already talking about the possibility of a return visit.'

2. 'We returned from Casa Maria yesterday, having had a really enjoyable holiday amid glorious weather, indeed something of a heatwave. We liked the villa very much, and are considering returning next year if you are still renting it. Please could you contact me when you have prices and a bookings register for 2008?

We really enjoyed le Marche (having spent a number of years of villa holidays in Tuscany and Umbria) for its unspoilt towns, friendly people and for the superb views from the villa. Penne itself offers a good range of facilities.

3. 'Had a tremendous time in Le Marche. Thanks for your part in it. We found the villa perfect and very clean on our arrival, especially the pool where we spent quite a lot of time. Great idea having steps into it rather than a vertical ladder. We also went to several of the resturants you recommended. The kitchen we found really well supplied with good quality utensils.

The only thing we could have used would have been a cool box to keep pack lunches and drinks cool.'

4. 'Villa: Absolutely top quality accommodation, nicely done, clean, cool in the heat and just about every thing we could have wanted. Nice kitchen and good barbeque outside. Good standard of bathroom fitting etc. Quality and tasteful furniture throughout. Nice clean and solid beds. Nice to have a CD player too – kids loved it. Nice that there was plenty of crockery/glass wear etc and none of it was “chintzy”!

Pool: Great, hard to fault. Given that it was 30-35 oC we were in it a lot. Nice design and the loungers were top notch too.

Area/location: Also great. The instructions were absolutely fine. We tried many of your suggestions for local restaurants as well as some of the tours/places to visit.

So overall we had to give Casa Maria well at least 9.5 out of 10! We were very pleased with our stay.'

6. We had a fantastic holiday. We absolutely loved the house and the area - I'm only slightly jealous that it's all yours! We had a pretty lazy holiday and spent a lot of time at the house and in the pool - well, it was just so lovely.

All your details about the village and restaurants were very helpful. We ate at several, a wonderful lunch on the terrace at Dulia in Sant Angelo in Pontano and a humongous meal at La Querce were highlights.

7. We had a very good holiday with hot weather and lots to do. We did a lot of sightseeing in the surrounding area including the roman ruins and abbey, the lake and the mountains. We could not fit everything into a fortnight’s holiday. The villa proved to be lovely, very well equipped and easy to live in. The people in the village were very friendly and helpful.

8. We were very happy with the house, both in terms of space, amenities, the superb view and the location. I had never been to the Marche before and loved the wonderful array of landscapes it offers. We loved the ability to go to the mountains and the beaches within the space of an hour, and very much enjoyed the local pastoral landscape. We found people friendly and helpful.
